The appeal of Ms. Streisand is long gone, I personally can't stand her voice and overacting, particularly her mugging (her excuse for acting) in her comedic roles, which she certainly isn't...funny that is. See it at your own risk. I frankly can't even stand the sight of her, consequently I will not be seeing or reviewing The Guilt Trip.

When I first saw a preview for Seven Psychopaths I was intrigued, it looked like it might be funny. However, as I got more information about the film I had to make a decision. Consequently, I will not be reviewing this film, in fact I will not be seeing this film. I have included 2 trailers here. I delayed seeing this film for some time. I didn't expect much, a typical teenage angst coming of age type story with lots of profanity, sex talk, and promotion of homosexuality (the gay characters are always portrayed as intellectually and morally superior to their loutish, bulling, rednecked, bigoted, heterosexual counterparts). This film was, however, less onerous and somewhat better than I had expected. It could, however, have been easily presented without all the crassness and profanity without sacrificing anything important.

Three anonymous high-school seniors decide to make their mark by throwing a party that no one will ever forget. From the director of The Hangover, who thought that movie's vile vulgarity needed to include the teen market. It is rated R but clearly intended to entice a teen audience. This genre in the past with films like American Graffiti and Sixteen Candles to Superbad etc., almost always focused on young characters learning a lesson or coming of age. This is not the case with Project X. There is no positive message here.
